Module 6- Georeferencing

This week's assignment was all about georeferencing, editing, and a bit of 3D mapping. This lesson was used to illustrate that the raster data may not always align with the polygons, in this case buildings and roads. When this problem arises, using the georeferencing tool is needed to match up the data. Figure 1. shows the University of West Florida (UWF) campus buildings with the georeferenced data. The next step in this lesson was to use the editing tool to trace the outline of building 072 and to trace the road Campus Lane using the line and snapping tools.

The last part of this assignment was to introduce us to 3D mapping using ArcScene as shown in Figure 2. Using the same data we used in Figure 1., we can see a 3D map of the UWF campus.
